Radio as I used to know it is dead.
There were a number of contributing factors to the death of radio, but I chalk it up to the FCC allowing companies to own more than one station in a particular market. This created a homogenous, computerized radio network with prerecorded playlists dictated by corporate sponsors. And yet radio’s death was the harbinger of the iPod… a station in your pocket.
